This car was bought new in N. Hollywood, CA from Morrie Sages Universal City Datsun. Purchased by me from orginal owner who moved it to Phoenix AZ when he was transfered to Luke AFB in 1975. His wife drove it ( hence the automatic, port installed A.R.A. air conditioning and the non-vinal seats) in Phoenix until she got a new Cadillac sometime in the 90's. He was in the process of getting it ready for painting when his wife became ill and died. He shelved the project after he had primered some door dings and paint chips.
It looked like a pinto pony when I purchased it. I sanded off the primer to make sure there was no hidden rust. There wasn't and most of the orginal paint is intact. No rust ever anywhere on it. Last registered in 1990. It is amazingly stock throughout, original sheet metal, bumpers,FRP headlight buckets, hub caps, exaust, Koito headlights, radio, jute backed carpet, factory 4 row radiator, etc. All guages work except the clock. Dash has four small cracks but is quite smooth. Most of the soft rubber items have hardened and will need to be replaced, Nissan glass is very good throughout. Motor runs great with good and even compression. Numbers matching engine.
Transmission shifts as it should. Needs shocks and some newer tires. Clean AZ title. I'm not keeping it, it's my 9th Z and old age is catching up with me. This car will make someone very proud and happy. I would welcome in-person inspections. I have a 240Z four speed or close ratio ZX five speed that could go with the car if desired. Period correct "slotted mags" from my stash available at no extra. Included are the original steelies and hub caps that were on the car when I bought it.
