1964 Porsche 356SC SC Cabriolet, Unique opportunity to own an exceptional example of the final evolution of the Porsche 356 model series. It is estimated that slightly more than 500 SC Cabriolets were built in the final two years of 356 production, 1964-65.
The limited number produced, along with the evolved 356 proven drive train, make the SC Cabriolet models one of the most ideal driving and most desirable models among collectors. This particular 1964 Porsche 356SC example has undergone a meticulous restoration by well known 356 craftsmen. Exacting metal work was done by Ted Adkins. Paint and assembly by Kerstan Rillos of Rillos Restoration.
Restoration of correct and original trim components by Victor Miles. Interior by Pebble Beach award winning Classic Interiors and the late Steve Shepp. The matching engine and transmission was rebuilt by Jack Morris, Morris Motors. Just over 200 miles have been added to the finished car. The factory Kardex shows that the car was delivered to Intercontinental Motors, San Antonio, Texas.
Factory colors were signal red/ black. Options included hubcaps with crests, side spears, and green tinted windscreen. The car now wears a mirror-like exquisite black finish with a stunning supple green leather interior. Chassis number is 160972 with matching engine 812733 and transmission 81362 type 741 with 2C gears.
